Introduction to Acrylics
Explore the world of acrylic painting in this 6-week workshop. You will learn about the elements of art (composition, color mixing, value study) and how to apply them to your own masterpieces. Together we will create a beautiful landscape painting. Classes will start Monday evening for 6 continuous weeks, 6-8pm.

Introduction to Silk Painting
Learn creative techniques under professional instruction to craft beautiful, one-of-a-kind designs on silk. Perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike, this class offers a unique opportunity to explore your creativity and create stunning results. Participants will learn how to build a silk stretcher then paint a 22x22" square silk scarf and a 9" pre-stretched circle.

BSA Merit Badge Classes
Please note the new Scouting American Policy: Scouts must have a discussion with their Scoutmaster before beginning any merit badge. Scouts must have obtained Scoutmaster’s approval prior to the workshop and have them assign Amy Cassidy as MB Counselor through Scout Book Plus or request a physical Blue Card. Failure to follow this policy may result in merit badge completion being rejected until the proper requirements are fulfilled with a counselor designated by the Scoutmaster.
Please understand that meeting this requirement is the Scout's responsibility and no refunds will be issued by the Sugar Land Art Center.
